Dive Nomad

Dive Nomad offers a truly unique adventure diving experience, there is simply nothing else like this. We have access to some of Australia’s most beautiful, isolated and pristine dive locations. Isolated sand cays, large coral atolls, unique biodiversity, sharks, whales and untouched crystal clear tropical reefs are just some of the thoughts that come to mind when thinking of Marion Reef in the Coral Sea.

The reefs we visit are located between 350-550 kilometers from the Australian mainland, these reefs are amongst the most isolated coral atolls anywhere on earth. Marion Reef is located in the central Coral Sea, and is one of the most remote untouched and truly impressive dive locations you could imagine. The best part is that we can fl y you out there via seaplane, and avoid the 35hr boat ride, to land at the back of our 80ft mothership anchored in a spectacular calm lagoon.

Marion Reef is located 400kms off the Queensland coast, 180 km beyond the Great Barrier Reef, and consists of a large circular atoll formation 50 km long and 35 km wide. It is comprised of three main Reefs located on the Eastern side: Marion, Long and Wansfell; and a number of smaller reefs on the west. Three small sand cays are located on the eastern side of Marion Reef: Paget Cay, on Long Reef, Carola Cay, south of Long Reef, and Brodie Cay, on Wansfell Reef. These Cay’s provided us with sheltered, calm anchorages within the Lagoon.
